Students given 'real world' learning

Our programme offers undergraduates many opportunities to study in 'real world' environments.

As part of their 'Tourism Development and Sustainability and The Tourist: Behaviour and Culture' module, a group of 2nd year students visited Nurture Lakeland to look at sustainability & visitor management.

The group also took a behind-the-scenes tour of Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's 17th-century farmhouse, looking at preservation versus access and visitor motivation.

Feedback from the trip was extremely positive and it may become a regular feature of our courses.
