Excellence Workshop for our Excellent Students!

The North of England Excellences (NoEE) vision is to improve the competitiveness and productivity of the Northern Economy. Working closely with a number of businesses, they aim to inspire, support and recognise excellence.

The NoEE delivered a business management workshop looking at improvement and quality models for service business and in particular those within the tourism, hospitality and event industry. This real world business workshop was part of the ‘Managing Service Quality’ module led by Senior Lecturer: Dr Carley Sutton and funded by the universities Teaching and Learning fund.

‘The students really engaged with the workshop in which they had to consider how they would implement a quality improvement model within a chosen business’’

The workshop provided a framework for their module assignment where the students will complete a consultancy project for a real business.

Once completed, the students received an industry-recognised certificate and a student will be acknowledged for their performance, and presented with an award at our UCLan Graduations.
